2 cheques were handed over in December 2007 illustrating how small change gives hope!
Wayne Hayter Optometrist in Rosebank, Johannesburg implemented their e-tin in May 2007 and by November had collected an amount of R1850-00 from small change donations received from patients in the practice. The cheque was handed over to the Vision in Sight Trust by Lottie Schoeman, frontliner for the practice.
Lottie believes that the next few months will see her “doubling donations” and looks forward to some “stiff competition” from their sister practice in Sunninghill, who is starting their own e-tin initiative in Jan 08.
Centurion Spar celebrated a wonderful morning tea with the recipients from Irene Homes on the 10th December. Grateful thanks to Dean and Marietjie Morris as well as their staff for their generosity and positive adoption of e-tin in their store. A cheque of R10 000 was handed to Irene Homes and will contribute to the Irene Homes Orphan fund.
